Our team of experts have been assessing and responding to environmental and human health risks associated with agrochemical contaminants for over twenty years. As a result we have an in-depth understanding of the challenges associated with how these compounds and their associated breakdown products can accumulate and migrate in the environment.

Over the years our experts have worked with agrochemical manufacturers (e.g. Bayer, Syngenta, AkzoNobel, Novartis), loss adjusters, insurers, landowners, contractors, water authorities and the Environment Agency to assess, monitor and where appropriate, return impacted buildings, soil and water environments to a condition where the identified agrochemical no longer pose a significant pollution risk.

Area of Expertise - Perfluorinated Compounds / Foams

Our expert first got involved with AFFF and perfluorinated compounds in particular following the Buncefield Oil Terminal explosion in December 2015 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buncefield_fire). Over the years our expert has been involved in writing Environmental Impact Assessments, classifying waste and supporting landowners, airport operators and regulators to successfully assess and manage their associated responsibilities.

Our expert operated as the principal technical advisor to the States of Guensey for over seven years. Working with public services, public health and Guernsey Water, our expert developed and implemented an ongoing monitoring and treatment scheme that successfully prevents pfos from entering surface water supplies used for drinking water consumption. 

Our expert has also worked extensively with the metal plating and similar manufacturing industries where perfluorinated compounds are utilised in their processes.

Meet The Management Team

Adrian Bhreathnach

Managing Director / CFO

Adrian is responsible for management of the day-to-day environmental claims response, remediation and restoration activities of the business, utilising his experience of complex domestic and commercial pollution response,  and remediation across the UK over the last twenty years.

Adrian’s qualifications include a Masters in Business Administration (MBA)MSc in Contaminated Land Remediation,  BSc (Hons) Environmental Science, PgDip in Management Consulting, and a HND in Coastal Zone Management. Adrian is also a Practitioner member of IEMA (PIEMA).

Pete Edwards

Built Assets / Buildings Lead

 Pete is a highly experienced construction leader and general builder with over ten years experience working within the insurance oil remediation sector. Having worked extensively with many of our peer organisations. Pete ensures that our day-to-day delivery works on built assets is in line with industry standards and best practice.

Simon Joynes

Operations Director

Simon is an experienced Chartered Environmental Health and Contaminated Land Practitioner with nearly 20 yrs experience working at both operational and managerial level across multiple sectors including Environmental Protection, Licensing and Land Contamination.

Qualifications held include a MSc in Contaminated Land RemediationBSc (Hons) in Environmental Health, as well as a Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control. Simon is a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management and Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
